Behind the hype and the headlines there are other football stories - emotional human stories that show how football touches the world.

Camera crews will travel to every continent during 2007 and 2008 to film 26 powerful human interest stories under the title of 'Football's Hidden Story' - a testament to the role of football as a source of encouragement and hope; an affirmation of the true meaning and power of the world's greatest game.

This unique project shows the other side of football - ordinary people living extraordinary lives. It is a new approach to programming, involving extensive international research, finding dramatic and heart-warming stories. These are brought to life through the skills of experienced directors and award-winning cameramen. The project is endorsed by FIFA to show how football can enhance lives in many and unexpected ways.

Video news releases are distributed free, one approximately every two weeks, to worldwide TV networks. Themes are topical and relevant, designed to connect with key dates in the world calendar or with international football tournaments, so that they take on an added interest for broadcasters looking for issue-related programmes. This adds a time-line, a purpose and a value to the stories.

Written versions of the 26 topics are released to selected journalists who then have the opportunity to re-write these articles, adding a local angle if they wish, and to sell in their own markets. They are generally the sole recipients of these stories, and also a set of photographs, in their own countries until the date that the written story is released to broadcasters. This is normally just before a linked event or anniversary.
